Visits Colombia, South America in the hope of making a film about the Kogi, a possibly surviving Mayan population living in the Sierra Nevadas. Reaches the Ika (a closely related group) and starts a film that becomes IKA HANDS. Continues producing film about the Outer Hebrides by Jack Shea and Allen Moore called SHEPHERDS OF BERNARAY. Gives named lecture at Washington State University (The Moral Nature of Film). In Paris preparing for trip to Niger to start on film of the Borroro Fulani.
