In Ethiopia working wih the Afar nomads in Danakil Depression and The Nuer in Illubabor Province working with Hilary Harris. Later works in SW Ethiopia on the cattle keeping farmers called Hamar. Teaches with Stanley Cavell a freshman seminar at Harvard on film. Co-edits and produces through the Film Study Center IMAGINERO by Jorge Preloran.
