I somehow fall in with a welcoming group of writers and other artists. They offset the  lifeless world of academe. Only Clyde Kluckhohn stands apart as a teacher. I meet Robert Lowell who fills me with admiration and fraternal feelings. Stanley Kunitz turns up as do a number of poets my own age. I seek refuge in Cosmology.
